When is it safe to return to working out?

Ask your doctor for their specific recommendations, but the general guideline is 6 weeks postpartum.

I never worked out before/during pregnancy, is this still for me?

Even more reason to start now! Our workouts are tailored to each mom. We can make them easier or harder depending on your fitness level and where you're in your postpartum journey

Do I have to bring my child?

Craving a little dedicated Mom time? You can absolutely come solo.

Is there any childcare provided?

There will be no childcare provided. It's meant to be a "Mom and Me" style of class.

Where will my baby be?

You can bring a play mat, a pop up, or leave them in the car seats/stroller.

What if I have to feed my baby during the class?

You'll be surrounded by other understanding mothers. For privacy, you can easily use our changing rooms if needed.

When are classes held? And how long is the program?

Monday & Wednesdays 9:30am - 10:30am

How long does the program run?

The program runs for 6 weeks.

What is the baby age range?

This is ideal for mothers that are 6 weeks to 7 months postpartum. If your child is mobile (crawling or walking) a pack-n-play or some type of bouncer to keep them safe would be required for their safety.

Can my child come to class?

This is designed as a "Mommy and Me" class where your baby can hang out with you while you workout. Older mobile siblings must stay seated in a pop-up, stroller, or chair. We just can't have them moving or playing around the gym.

What if my child is upset during class?

That's the beauty of an all-Moms class; we understand blowouts happen, children need to be fed, or held, or talked to. Tend to your little one and hop right back into the workout!

Do I need Fitness Experience?

No experience needed! We will teach you everything you need to know to safely workout each class!

Coach Dave

Dave is the owner of CrossFit WindRose and has been coaching in the fitness space since 2013. Since 2019, he has specialized in helping postpartum women safely return to fitness and truly thrive. Having coached countless members through pregnancy and postpartum, Dave has heard it all, from birth stories and physical challenges with movement to the realities of navigating life, sleep deprivation, and changing schedules after having a baby.

As a father of two young boys himself, he understands these challenges firsthand. Dumbbells & Diapers was created out of real need, as CrossFit WindRose consistently supported multiple pregnant members each year, pushing Dave to continually learn, adapt, and provide the best possible care for women before and after birth so they can achieve their fitness goals.
